About the roof cost calculator
Our roof cost calculator is a fast, free way to get a rough idea of what your roofing project might cost — whether that's a new tiled or slate roof, a re-roof, or a flat roof. You measure the roof on a satellite map, answer a few quick questions about the pitch, storeys and access, and we turn that into a guide.
It's deliberately honest about its limits. An aerial measurement and a handful of answers can't see the condition of your roof timbers, the state of the existing covering, the detailing around chimneys and valleys, or the access on the ground — all of which affect the real price. That's why an exact, written quotation always follows a free, no-obligation roof inspection, where we confirm everything properly.

Why do you measure the footprint, not the roof itself?
From above, the satellite shows the roof's footprint (its outline). A pitched roof has more surface area than its footprint, so we multiply by a factor based on the pitch you tell us — that's why we ask how steep the roof is.
Do I have to draw on the map?
No — if you'd rather not draw, you can type an approximate size instead, or just call or WhatsApp us and we'll help. Both routes capture the same details.
What if I just need a repair?
