While you wait — stay safe
A few calm, safe steps limit the damage:
- • Do not climb onto a wet or damaged roof — leave height work to professionals.
- • Keep away from any ceiling that is bulging or sagging with trapped water.
- • Move valuables and electronics out of the way only if it's safe to do so.
- • Switch off electricity to an affected area only if it's safe and appropriate.
- • Place a container under any active drip to limit the damage.
- • If there is danger to life or major structural collapse, call 999 first.
What happens on the first visit
The first priority is often assessment and making the area reasonably safe and watertight. A permanent repair can't always be completed on the first visit — we'll explain what we've done and the plan for a lasting fix.

Emergency roofing — common questions
How quickly can you get to me?
We aim to respond to urgent enquiries as quickly as availability, location and weather conditions allow. We can't promise a fixed arrival time, but we'll always be honest about when we can realistically attend.
Can you fix it on the first visit?
Sometimes — but often the safe priority is to assess the problem and make the area watertight, then arrange a permanent repair. We'll explain exactly what we've done and what's still needed.
Should I call you or 999?
If there's any danger to life or signs of structural collapse, call 999 first. For a leak or storm damage that isn't life-threatening, call us or send photos on WhatsApp and we'll advise on the next step.
