What a workmanship guarantee covers
A workmanship guarantee is our promise that the work was carried out correctly. If a problem arises because of how we did the work, within the guarantee period and subject to the conditions below, we'll put it right. Manufacturer material warranties are separate and depend on the specific products used — together they cover both the work and the materials.
Selected roofing materials may also include a separate manufacturer's product warranty, subject to the manufacturer's registration requirements, exclusions and terms. This is separate from Quantock Roofing's workmanship guarantee.
Our guarantees are workmanship guarantees provided directly by Quantock Roofing. We don't describe them as “insurance-backed”, because that would require separate documentation we'd only claim if it were genuinely in place.
Reasonable exclusions
Like any honest guarantee, ours doesn't cover everything. It excludes:
- • Storm, flood, fire or accidental damage.
- • Damage caused by third parties or other trades.
- • Structural movement or subsidence.
- • Defects in parts of the property we did not work on.
- • Blocked or poorly maintained gutters and outlets.
- • Condensation caused by unrelated ventilation or occupancy issues.
- • Animal, bird or pest damage.
- • Unauthorised alterations or repairs carried out after we finish.
- • General wear and tear and the natural ageing of materials.
- • Failure of existing materials retained at the customer's request.
- • Problems resulting from information or defects concealed before work began.
Conditions
- • Cover defects resulting directly from Quantock Roofing's workmanship.
- • Apply only to the work listed in the written quotation or contract.
- • Begin on the date of practical completion.
- • Apply only after the invoice has been paid in full.
- • Require you to report any problem promptly.
- • Require reasonable access for inspection and remedial work.
- • May be transferable on sale of the property where proof of the original installation is available.
- • Do not replace or reduce your statutory consumer rights.
