Quantock Roofing – Guarantees & Terms
At Quantock Roofing, we take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship using proven materials and installation methods. All work is carried out to a professional standard, and we stand behind our installations with clear, structured guarantees for your peace of mind.
Our Workmanship Guarantees
New Tiled & Slate Roof Installations – 20 Year Guarantee
All new pitched roof installations (including tile and slate roofs) are covered by a 20-year workmanship guarantee.
This covers:
Installation of tiles or slates
Roof structure work carried out by us
Battens, breathable membranes, and fixings
Leadwork installed as part of the roof system
Flat Roof Installations – 10 Year Guarantee
All new flat roofing systems (including felt, EPDM rubber, and GRP fibreglass) are covered by a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
This covers:
Waterproofing system installation
Decking (where installed by us)
Edge details, trims, and upstands
Flashings installed as part of the system
Roofline Installations – 10 Year Guarantee
All new fascia, soffit, and guttering installations are covered by a 10-year workmanship guarantee.
This includes:
uPVC fascias and soffits
Guttering and downpipes
Cladding and bargeboards
Repairs & Maintenance Work – 12 Month Guarantee
All repair work carried out by Quantock Roofing is covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
This includes:
Leak repairs
Tile or slate replacement
Minor flashing repairs
What Our Guarantee Covers
Our guarantees cover defects arising directly from faulty workmanship carried out by Quantock Roofing.
If an issue occurs within the guarantee period due to installation error, we will:
Inspect the issue
Rectify the fault at no cost
Restore the affected area to proper working condition
What Is Not Covered
To remain fair and industry-compliant, the following are not covered under our guarantees:
Damage caused by extreme weather conditions (e.g. storms, high winds, flooding)
General wear and tear over time
Lack of maintenance or neglect
Damage caused by third parties or other trades
Structural movement, subsidence, or building defects
Pre-existing issues not addressed during installation
Blocked gutters or drainage systems not maintained by the property owner
Materials & Manufacturer Warranties
Where applicable, materials used may also carry manufacturer-backed warranties (often ranging from 10–25 years depending on product).
These warranties are separate from our workmanship guarantee
Any material defects are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and claims process
Customer Responsibilities
To keep your guarantee valid, the property owner must:
Ensure reasonable ongoing maintenance of the roof and drainage systems
Keep gutters and downpipes clear of debris
Notify us promptly if an issue arises
Avoid unauthorised alterations or repairs by third parties
Access for Repairs
In the unlikely event of a claim:
Reasonable access must be provided for inspection and remedial work
We will aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe depending on urgency and weather conditions
Transferability
Our guarantees are:
Fully transferable to new property owners within the guarantee period
Proof of original installation (invoice or documentation) may be required
Limit of Liability
Quantock Roofing’s liability is strictly limited to:
The repair or replacement of defective workmanship only
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. interior damage, loss of earnings, etc.)
Exclusions & Legal Notes
Guarantees apply only to work fully completed and paid for in full
Any outstanding balances will invalidate the guarantee
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law
